2013 Dodge Dart Earns IIHS's Top Safety Pick+ Designation

When pondering the 2013 Dodge Dart it's likely that the very first characteristics that come to mind are of the model's swanky style and performance. Specifically, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, commonly referred to as the IIHS, recently praised the 2013 Dodge Dart as a Top Safety Pick+. As you may know, that's the organization's highest-possible rating, which requires a score of "good" in four difficult tests that were designed to mimic damages done in rear, side, rollover and moderate-overlap frontal collisions.

Speaking to the model's safety-conscientious design, president and CEO of the Dodge Brand, Tim Kuniskis, explains that, "In addition to its solid structure - the Dart's 68-percent high-strength-steel content ratio is one of the highest in the industry - the Dart boasts more than 60 safety and security features."1
